Idle Hour Lake
Louis P. Gartner Recreation Area / Idle Hour Lake!Many fun activities are available at this beautiful location just three miles South of Altamont.
Take your family down South of town to enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, bicycling, disc golf, GeoCaching, picnicking, and other wonderful leisure activities.
We currently have 20 premier camping slots in two locations available on a reservation basis.
We provide:
Electricity, Water, Wi-Fi, Sewer Dumping Station, Fire Rings, Swing Set, and Picnic Tables.
Each camping slot is approximately 78 feet long, by 30 feet wide (15 feet of rock, 15 feet of grass). Camping slots are available as close as 150 feet from the Water Front and are $15/night.
We have a Shelter House area with electricity available on a reservation basis for only $15.00 per day.
We also have a nice laundry and shower-house available for work campers.
