The City of Altamont provides utilities for Water, Sewer, Gas, Electric, and Trash.

Water Consumer Quality Report

Utility Bills 
Mailed out the 1st working day of the month.  
Due by the 15th of the month by 5 p.m. at City Office or deposited in the dropbox before 8:00 a.m. the following working day.  
The utilities will be disconnected on the 21st of the month if not paid.

Meter Deposit 
Gas: $120.00
Electric: $120.00
Water: $60.00

In Lieu of a Meter Deposit the following options are available:
Letter of Credit:  from gas or electric company stating you have not had any late payments in the past 12 months

Letter of Responsibility:  A resident that has no late payments for the last 12 months that also has electric or gas with the City of Altamont signing a statement that they will pay any and all utility bills left unpaid.

Gas: $30.00
Electric: $30.00
Water:$30.00

Paid prior to service connection and non-refundable. 

New Meter Setting Fees  
Gas: $300.00
Electric: $300.00
Water: $300.00
Sewer Tap: $300.00

Trash Pick-up
Tuesday mornings – Must be bagged, put in a polycart, and set by the street.


Trash Rates 
1 Polycart: $17.00
2 Polycarts: $23.00
3 Polycarts: $27.00
Dumpster 1 time/ week pickup: $60.00
Dumpster 2 times/ week pickup: $100.00
Dumpster 3 times/ week pickup: $140.00
Rural Trash: $23.00

City-wide clean-up twice a year.

 Available at City Office. Voting is at the First Baptist Church 4th & Wabash
